Tube Well Construction
Sri Lanka's trusted experts in groundwater drilling and pump installation.

Sri Lanka's Trusted Tube Well Experts
Vishwalanka's Water Engineering Division has been drilling tube wells across Sri Lanka since 2009. With 180+ successful projects in all terrains — from hard rock in the Central Province to alluvial soil in the North — we have the experience, equipment, and expertise to find and deliver clean groundwater for your home, farm, or business.
We use state-of-the-art rotary drilling rigs imported from Germany and Japan, capable of drilling up to 400 feet in any geological formation. Every project includes a post-drilling water quality test and pump commissioning.
Advanced Drilling Rigs
Imported rotary rigs capable of drilling through all Sri Lankan rock and soil formations
Water Quality Testing
Government-approved laboratory water quality tests for pH, bacteria, minerals, and safety
Islandwide Coverage
Our crews operate in all 25 districts — Colombo to Jaffna, Kandy to Hambantota
Licensed Engineers
All projects supervised by qualified civil engineers with CIDA registration
1–3 Day Completion
Standard tube well projects completed within 1–3 days from mobilization
Pump Installation
Submersible pump supply, installation, and commissioning included on request
Our Tube Well Process
- Free Site Assessment — Our hydrogeologist visits your property and evaluates the site for drilling suitability.
- Water Survey (Optional) — Geophysical resistivity survey to pinpoint the exact drilling location and estimate water depth/yield.
- Mobilization — Drilling rig and crew mobilized to your site, usually within 2–5 working days of quotation approval.
- Drilling — We drill to the agreed depth using rotary/percussion methods, monitoring geological formations continuously.
- Casing & Gravel Pack — PVC/steel casing installed with gravel packing to prevent sand entry and maximise water yield.
- Well Development — The well is developed by pumping to remove drilling fluid and fine particles, maximising yield.
- Water Testing — Water samples collected and tested at an approved laboratory for quality certification.
- Pump Installation — Submersible pump selected, installed, and commissioned. Final inspection and handover.
