Domestic & Commercial Well Construction
Traditional open ring wells engineered with reinforced concrete rings and safety covers.

Reliable Water Source for Homes & Farms
For generations, open dug wells have been the primary source of clean water in Sri Lankan households and agricultural lands. At Vishwalanka Water Engineering, we modernize this traditional well structure. We deploy experienced crews to construct open dug wells utilizing high-strength, machine-pressed precast concrete rings.
Our construction technique ensures maximum structural safety during and after excavation. We seal the top joints of the concrete rings to prevent shallow surface runoffs and mud from contaminating the well, securing pure and abundant groundwater.
Our Well Construction Services
Concrete Ring Wells
Excavation and alignment of machine-pressed concrete rings ranging from 3 feet to 6 feet in diameter.
Safety Cover Installations
Heavy-duty galvanized steel mesh covers, safety grills, and concrete slabs to prevent accidental falls.
Well Cleaning & Chlorination
Draining existing wells, mud extraction, wall scraping, bottom gravel packing, and sanitizing.
Well Deepening (Re-boring)
Adding sub-rings inside existing wells during dry seasons to restore the groundwater yield.
Our Well Construction Process
We prioritize safety and clean water standards in every dug well project:
- Site Selection & Mapping — Pinpointing high-yield aquifers away from septic structures.
- Excavation & Sinking — Careful manual or mechanical excavation and simultaneous sinking of precast concrete rings.
- Joint Sealing & Gravel Pack — Sealing inner ring joints and packing outer annular spaces with graded river gravel.
- Top Slab & Safety Mesh — Pouring a concrete apron surrounding the well and setting up a secure lockable top safety cover.
