Tube Wells & Groundwater Survey
Sri Lanka's trusted water engineering specialists — delivering clean water solutions since 2009.

Harnessing Abundant Groundwater Across Sri Lanka
The Water Engineering Division is the foundation upon which the Vishwalanka Group was built. Since our inception, we have successfully drilled over 1,500 tube wells across all 25 districts of Sri Lanka. From the dry zone plains of Anuradhapura and Hambantota to the hard rock terrains of the Central Highlands, our geological expertise ensures water security.
We utilize geophysical resistivity scanning to locate underground aquifers scientifically before drilling. By combining advanced drilling rigs, high-grade PVC casings, and professional pump installations, we supply long-lasting, clean groundwater for homes, agricultural lands, and factories.
Our Specialties & Water Solutions
Tube Well Drilling
High-efficiency percussion and rotary drilling rigs capable of boring 2-inch to 8-inch diameter wells down to 400 feet in any soil or rock formation.
Geophysical Water Surveys
Scientific site mapping using electrical resistivity meters to locate groundwater tables, estimate aquifer depth, and determine optimal drilling points.
Concrete Ring Wells
Traditional open wells built using high-strength precast concrete rings, ideal for domestic drinking water in areas with shallow water tables.
Pump Installation & Testing
Sourcing, deploying, and commissioning high-capacity submersible pumps, pressure controllers, overhead piping, and solar-power integrations.
Our Technical Commitments
We maintain strict engineering standards to prevent well collapse and ensure clean water:
- Heavy-Gauge PVC Casings — We use only CIDA-approved 4-inch/5-inch thick-gauge PVC casings designed to withstand high underground pressure.
- Gravel Packing & Sand Filtering — The annular space around the casing is packed with graded silica gravel to filter out silt and sand.
- Air Compressor Cleaning — Post-drilling, the well is flushed using high-pressure air compressors to remove mud, ensuring clean water flow.
- Yield & Chemical Tests — Every commercial project undergoes a 24-hour pump yield test and water analysis at an approved laboratory.
